Today we’re happy to announce that we’re launching Sangus.org, a one-stop site to help find ratings, details, and links for every Initial Coin Offering (ICO).
Our mission is to help the ICO evolve into a trustworthy and respected fundraising mechanism. As a first step, we want to ensure would-be token buyers have all the information available to them so they can invest with integrity.
Our listings include the usual information about an ICO – the whitepaper, social links, raise amounts, etc. But there are a few features that set us apart from other listing sites:
Unlike other sites, ICOs don’t pay a fee to list on our site and ICO owners cannot pay to boost their Metascore. We forgo those revenue opportunities because we’re committed to providing you with information in an unbiased and neutral way.
We link to ratings and reviews from reputable ICO rating agencies so you can see all the ratings at a glance in one place.
Sangus provides its own metascore for ICOs to provide users with a quick, consolidated benchmark. We use a proprietary method that relies on an ICO’s transparency, interaction with the public, and sentiment analysis. You can read more about metascore here.
Sometimes ICO crowdsales get hacked or suffer from other problems that interfere with token buying. The “Report this ICO” button allows users to identify which ICOs require investigation. If we verify the existence of a problem, we’ll issue a site-wide notification to protect users from sending funds to a hacked wallet.
Where possible, we list other tokens that users may be interested in. We identify recommendations by analyzing blockchain activity to identify token overlap in Ethereum wallets. We’re also working to bring you more insights via blockchain analysis.
Users who make a Sangus account can link their public wallet addresses. This allows them to see their token balance for each ICO as they browse our site. You can find out more about wallet linking here.
In the coming months, we’ll be launching more features to help our users share information, evaluate ICOs, and seamlessly participate in them. In the meantime, let us know if you have any feedback in the comments below, and don’t forget to check out the Sangus homepage.
